Data access, correction, and deletion requests

What data TowMeUp holds about you

When you use TowMeUp — whether to book a flight, check in, or manage a park — we may store:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number
  • Safety profile: body weight, USHPA member number, pilot rating
  • Booking history: tickets purchased, check-ins, flight records
  • Payment tokens: Stripe transaction IDs (we do not store card numbers)
  • Profile photo and tip page payment handles (instructors only, if provided)
  • Push notification subscription tokens (if you opted in)

How to request access, correction, or deletion

Email us at hello@towmeup.app with the subject line "Data Request" and include:

  • Your full name and the email address associated with your account
  • What you are requesting: access, correction, or deletion
  • If requesting deletion: whether you want a full account deletion or removal of specific data only

We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.

What happens when you request deletion

Upon a verified deletion request, we will:

  • Delete your account credentials and profile information
  • Remove your push notification subscription tokens
  • Anonymize or delete personal data from booking records where technically feasible

Some data may be retained for a limited period to satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, or support safety audits (e.g., flight logs). Retained data is not used for any other purpose and is deleted as soon as retention requirements are satisfied.

Deletion of your account is permanent and cannot be reversed.

Removing your Facebook login connection

If you signed into TowMeUp using Facebook Login, you can revoke TowMeUp's access to your Facebook account at any time:

  1. Go to your Facebook SettingsSecurity and LoginApps and Websites
  2. Find TowMeUp in the list and click Remove

Revoking Facebook access removes TowMeUp's ability to use Facebook Login but does not automatically delete the TowMeUp account or data associated with it. To request full data deletion, follow the process in the section above.

Facebook data deletion callback

Facebook requires that apps provide a way for users to request deletion of data collected through Facebook Login. This page serves as TowMeUp's data deletion callback URL.

If Facebook sends a data deletion request on your behalf, we will process it within 30 days. To check the status of a deletion request, email us at hello@towmeup.app with your Facebook User ID or the email address on your TowMeUp account.
